Electronic waste

Computers, monitors and a range of peripherals ranging from keyboards to printers can be recycled as e-waste. At UNSW, we collect more than 40 tonnes of e-waste per year.

Under the agreement with HP, if you have eligible equipment, you simply log a service request with the IT Service Desk and the obsolete IT equipment is collected by local support or the Facilities Relocations team. It is then taken to either a local storage area or the Randwick tram shed and collected by HP for responsible disposal.

For more detail about the HP solution go to IT at UNSW – HP Asset Recovery Service for eWaste. More information on HP computer reuse and recycling is at HP Planet Partners.
